Tuesday March 5th, 6:30-8:00 pm Monthly meeting at Panera, 3416 University Ave., Madison.
Sunday February 24th, 1:30-4:30 pm SFM will be showing Invisible Hands at the Fitchburg Public Library. Invisible Hands is a documentary that exposes child labor and child trafficking within the supply chains of the world’s biggest corporations. Following the film Ben Skinner, who is interviewed in the film and who has written extensively on human trafficking, will discuss the film and answer questions.
Sunday March 10th, 1:30-4:30 pm Four films, 5 to 45 minutes in length, will be shown at the Fitchburg Public Library. The documentaries address the issue of sex trafficking in Wisconsin and across the country and attendees will have the opportunity to engage in discussions following each film. Thursday, February 21st, 7:00 pm Our Lady Queen of Peace Church is sponsoring a panel discussion on sex trafficking entitled Sex Trafficking in Madison: What You Need to Know. The community event will be held at 401 S. Owen Dr. in Madison. For more information see the event flyer
Wednesday, March 6th, 6:00-9:00 pm The Zonta Club of Madison, a group committed to empowering women and girls, is sponsoring LUNAFEST at Marcus Point Cinemas, 7825 Big Sky Drive in Madison. LUNAFEST is a traveling film festival that features eight short films by, for, and about women. Proceeds will support local programs supporting women and girls through the Madison Zonta Foundation.
