Upcoming SFM Events
Saturday February 22nd, 1:30-4:00 pm SFM will hold its first SOAP workshop in Fellowship Hall at the First Baptist Church, 518 N. Franklin Ave., Madison. SOAP is an outreach effort that involves labeling bars of soap with the National Human Trafficking Hotline number and then distributing those to local hotels and motels where they may victims of human trafficking can come across them (more information about SOAP can be found here). SlaveFree Madison is now an official SOAP chapter and will conduct these workshops 3-4 times per year. The afternoon will begin, however, with a presentation by Chad Miller, a professional driver and Ambassador for Truckers Against Trafficking, who will talk about the organizations efforts to combat human trafficking. All are welcome to attend this event and help us label our goal of 2000 bars of soap. More information is available on the event here.

Wednesday March 11th, 6-8:30 pm The Zonta Club of Madison whose mission is To Empower Women and Girls Through Service and Advocacy, will be holding their second annual LunaFest Film Festival at Marcus Point Cinema showcasing films by and about women. Wednesday March 18th, 6:30-8:00 pm The McFarland RADAR Coalition is sponsoring an event entitled Human Trafficking Forum for the McFarland Community to be held at The McFarland Village Hall, 5915 Milwaukee St., McFarland WI.
